Sossefy

Draft for owner review. These terms are not in effect yet. Highlighted parts still need the owner's facts.

Terms of Service

Version 0.1 · draft of 16 September 2026

These terms apply when you use Sossefy, the learning app that turns your own course material into short practice and timed reviews, and when you buy Sossefy Pro.

1. Who we are

Sossefy is provided by RVMSES, legal form, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 95364188, registered address, VAT number VAT number.

Email: support@sossefy.com. In these terms, "we" means RVMSES and "you" means the person using Sossefy.

2. Using Sossefy

You can import notes and PDFs and practise on your own device without an account. To have your written answers checked by our cloud tutor, back up your learning, or buy Pro, you need an account. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Keep access to your email address secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

Sossefy is in beta. We improve it continuously, which means features can change, and it can occasionally be unavailable. We tell you in the app before we remove something you pay for.

3. Your material and your answers

What you import and what you write stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only as far as needed to provide Sossefy to you: to show it on your devices, to check your answers when you ask for it, and to keep the backups you make.

Only import material you are allowed to use for your own study. Do not import or write anything unlawful, and do not use Sossefy to attack, overload or get around the limits of our service or anyone else's. The link importer fetches only public web pages you ask it to read.

4. The cloud tutor

When you ask for an answer to be checked, the answer, the question and the relevant passages from your source are sent to our AI provider, which returns a judgment and feedback. Your progress, reviews and rewards are then calculated by fixed rules in the app, not by the AI.

AI feedback can be wrong. When it is unsure, Sossefy asks you to clarify instead of marking you wrong. You can report a judgment you disagree with from the feedback screen; the report is sent to us for review when you are signed in. Sossefy helps you practise; it does not predict or guarantee exam results.

5. Free access and Sossefy Pro

A cloud answer check is one written answer judged by the cloud tutor. A retry after a technical failure does not use another check. To protect the service, checks are limited to 30 attempts per 10 minutes and 150 per day on Pro (40 per day on a free account); if you reach a limit, the app tells you when you can continue.

The price, renewal period and what is included are shown before you pay. If the price shown at checkout differs from this page, the price shown at checkout applies to that purchase.

Without Pro you keep everything you already learned, your sources, export, backup restore and account deletion. We never hold your data behind payment.

6. Founding testers

The first 100 beta testers who were accepted as founding testers get 75% off Sossefy Pro for life. The discount applies to the Pro price at any time, including after future price changes, promotions and plan changes, and it continues if you cancel and later subscribe again. You still pay monthly. Founding-tester pricing is linked to your verified Sossefy account and cannot be transferred. If you believe you are a founding tester and do not see your price, contact us before buying.

7. Payment and renewal

On the web, Pro is sold through RevenueCat and payments are processed by Stripe. Pro renews automatically every month on the day you bought it, and you are charged the price that applies at renewal, until you cancel.

If we change the Pro price, we email you at least 30 days before your next renewal at the new price. You can cancel before the change applies.

8. Cancelling

You can cancel any time in the app under Profile → Plan → Manage subscription, or by emailing us. Pro stays active until the end of the month you paid for, and you are not charged again. Deleting your Sossefy account does not cancel a subscription by itself: cancel first.

9. Your right of withdrawal and refunds

You may withdraw from your first Pro purchase within 14 days by emailing support@sossefy.com or using the withdrawal form. We then refund the full amount of that purchase within 14 days, using the payment method you used. Owner to confirm this full-refund rule.

Outside that period we do not refund part of a month, unless the law requires it or we failed to provide the service you paid for.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account any time in the app under Profile → Account → Delete account, or by using our account deletion page. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where we can, we warn you first and let you export your learning.

11. Liability

We build Sossefy with care, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that AI feedback is always correct. Keep your own copy of important work: export or back up regularly.

Our liability for damage caused by Sossefy is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage, except where the damage is caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow such a limit. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Dutch or EU law.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before the change applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel Pro and delete your account before then.

13. Law and disputes

Dutch law applies. Please contact us first; we try to resolve every complaint within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it, you can take the dispute to the competent Dutch court, or to the court of the EU country where you live if the law gives you that right.
